Canine Solutions is owned and operated by Polly and Lisa
Dake-Jones.
Polly is very involved in the dog world, working with not only
her own dogs but helping others also. She has over 25 years
of canine experience, and has put many titles on her own
dogs working her dogs in many different venues including
Search & Rescue, Therapy, Personal Protection, Obedience
and Confirmation (taking the first Best in Show for an
American Bulldog in the UKC).
Polly's credentials include:
Obedience Judge and Trainer. Her true belief is that through
obedience you can do just about anything with your dog. She
feels training starts with puppies. Many of her students have
gone on to title their dogs.
Therapy Dog Evaluator through Therapy Dogs, Inc. Doing
this she evaluates other people's dogs for possible therapy
work. This would include visits to nursing homes, retirement
homes, schools (R.E.A.D. Dogs), hospitals and the like.
Testing to see if the dog and handler would do well at this
work is her objective and checking the temperament of the
dog is only the beginning, assessing also how they handle
different situations, noises and people.
Conformation Judge for the United Kennel Club. Being a
judge, Polly must have an extended knowledge of dogs, all
breeds, their movement, temperament and breed standard.
She takes this work to heart since the dogs she judges are
also the future of their breed.
Chief Temperament Tester for the American Temperament
Testing Society. In this work, Polly is part of a three judge
panel testing dogs for sound temperament. Again, this is
something she takes very seriously. Many breeders attend
these tests and look at the information received for possible
breeding stock.
CGC Evaluator Polly is certified through the American Kennel
Club to perform Canine Good Citizenship testing.
Protection Trial Judge. Polly has judged trials such as the
Fall Brawl, Supersport and Crunchfest. She also works her
own dogs in personal protection.
Certified Humane Officer. Polly is a State Certified Humane
Officer working mostly in Dodge County.
Professional Pet Groomer she is a certified groomer from
the Wisconsin School of Professional Pet Grooming.
Lisa's credentials include:
Lisa is relatively new to the "dog world" but, she works her
dogs in many different disciplines including Obedience,
Therapy and Personal Protection. She may be a novice but
her dogs are working at advanced levels coming a long way
quickly.
CGC Evaluator Lisa is also certified through the American
Kennel Club to perform Canine Good Citizenship testing.
Therapy Dog Evaluator Lisa has joined Polly as a Therapy
Dog Evaluator through Therapy Dogs, Inc.
Temperament Tester for the American Temperament Testing
