TRAINING
We offer a number of different training options.  We hold classes in Puppy
Kindergarten, Basic Obedience, Advanced Obedience and Conformation.

Puppy Kindergarten is for puppies from 8-16 weeks of age.  This is a very
important time in your puppy's life.  At this time you want to introduce your
puppy to new people, new experiences and other animals. This class is set up
to socialize your puppy, learn about basic dog care and start teaching your
puppy simple commands.  This is a 6 week course that meets once a week for
one hour.  The cost for this session is $75.00.  This course is also available at
the Animart store in Madison.

Basic Obedience is the next step in which we will teach you how to teach your
dog.  In this class, you and your dog will learn sit, down, heel (walk on a loose
leash at your side) stand, stay and come.  We also address any individual
problems that you or your dog might be facing.  This class is for dogs 5 months
and older.  Don't think it's to late to "fix" a problem in an older dog, we have had
many dogs start obedience at two years of age or older!  This class is 8 weeks
in length and meets for one hour sessions once a week.
We include Canine
Good Citizen testing at the end of the 8 weeks.
The cost for this class is
$110.00.  This class
is also be available at the Animart store in Madison.

Advance Obedience is for those dogs who have been through a Basic class
and want to continue with the fun of training.  In this class we work on off-lead
heeling, down and comes.  This class is tailored for our students, we work on
the exercises they want to work, retrieving, jumping, obstacles, it's really up to
the class.  A prerequisite for this class is Basic Obedience, although we will
evaluate dogs that have started with another school or trainer. This is an 8
week course meeting once a week.  The cost for this class is $100.00.

Conformation Class is held by appointment.  This class is for beginners just
starting to show a dog through Champions who need a brush up just before a
big show.  There is no age limit to dog or handler.  Polly is a UKC judge, UKC
Junior Handler judge and a 4-H judge.

Private Lessons are for those individuals who find it hard to make the time
commitment for class.  These lessons can be set up for a time that is convenient
for the owner.  Private lessons are also a good alternative for a pet with a
specific problem or task wanted to achieve.  Private lessons start at $25.00 an
hour depending on the location.

Two Week Boarding and Training is the ultimate for a hectic schedule.  In
this busy time with work, children's activities and other outside commitments, it's
sometimes very hard to find time to train your new dog or puppy.  We offer a
service that will help.  Your dog will board with us for two weeks.  During this
time we will teach basic commands and good house manners.  Your dog will live
in a house environment and worked through many different scenarios.  Please
call or e-mail for more information.

THERAPY DOG EVALUATION

Dogs can be a wonderful tool to bring happiness into someone's life, we know
this as dog owners.  Why not spread this joy and share your dog with people
who aren't as fortunate and can't own a dog?  We offer
Therapy Dog evaluation
and registration through Therapy Dogs, Inc.  This is a non-profit organization
that registers dogs for this special work.  Once registered, you'll be able to visit
assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals and schools with your dog and
brighten the day.  Any dog over the age of 12 months with the right
temperament and a little training can perform this work.  There is NO CHARGE
for this service.  Call or e-mail for more information.

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN TESTING (CGC)

We will offer CGC testing throughout the year.  You don't have to join our Basic
Class to go through this testing.  Scheduled times for CGC tests will be posted.
The cost for CGC testing is $1
8.00, this includes a $8.00 filing fee with the
American Kennel Club.

IN HOUSE PET CARE

Leaving for vacation or traveling for work and can't take your pet?  We offer
In-House pet care as an alternative to boarding your pet.  Many times for
different reasons, home is the best place for your pet to be when you are not
there.  We offer a service that will work around your pet's normal schedule.
Why turn their life upside down during your vacation or work travel?  Keep them
at home where they feel comfortable and secure.  We offer this service for
animals other than dogs too!  While at your house we will also take in the mail,
newspapers and water your plants!  Contact us for more details and costs.
